The Merry Ploughboys band established and operated Taylor's Irish Night in Dublin back in 1999. The show quickly became one of the top attractions in Dublin. By the time the Merry Ploughboys moved their show to its current location at The Merry Ploughboy Pub, the Taylor's Irish Night show (as performed by the Merry Ploughboys) was enjoyed by over a quarter of a million people.
The eight years spent by the Merry Ploughboys at Taylor's Irish Night have proved invaluable in providing the experience and expertise required to establish what is now undoubtedly the best tradtional Irish Night venue in Dublin: The Merry Ploughboy Pub.
Since January 2007, the Merry Ploughboys have been performing exclusively at the Merry Ploughboy Pub.
