After traveling to Ireland with us back in 2022, Chuck and Kate reached out to Ann for help when planning their 2024 trip to Italy. They were eager to visit relatives and explore the stunning country. Ann worked closely with the couple, discussing their desired destinations and experiences, while providing expert advice and adjustments to craft their ideal itinerary. The couple wanted a perfect balance between visiting family and sightseeing – and with Ann’s guidance, they achieved just that. Soon after finalizing the details, Chuck and Kate booked their Italian adventure for April 2024.

Great – Locanda Della Posta in Perugia was one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in. The room was spacious and functional , staff were helpful and friendly and great location. The Glam and Hotel Cellai were fantastic—great room layout and functional and we had a beautiful patio at the Cellai. Hotel Savoia & Jolonda was one of the worst—broken AC and no screens on windows.
Did everything go smoothly with your transportation?
Yes – Driver to water taxi in Venice was unbelievable! Guide was fantastic and kind! ITA Airways had smooth flights and great legroom. High speed train was spacious and ticketing easy and sensible. Regional train vouchers didn’t work. Your Italian partners need to email the reservations to the travelers who can then validate on Trenitalia website or app. We couldn’t do anything with these vouchers. Driver to Rome airport was fast and friendly!
What tours, attractions, or activities did you particularly enjoy?
The tours to the Colosseum and Vatican Museums were really well run and kept us ahead of a lot of the crowds. Mario and Hannah at the Colosseum were particularly noteworthy. The gondola ride with musical accompaniment was amazing and memorable. We had a very serious guitarist and a jovial and somewhat drunk singer, and they balanced each other off perfectly.
What was your favorite part of the trip?
Hard to say. So many memories and we loved almost all of it. Perugia is a hidden gem and we’d want to go back there again!
