It is the site of many historical sites including Stonehenge, Bath, Oxford University and Cambridge.

       

      8 Day Wales & England Tour Itinerary

      Day 1 : London

      Arrive in London and make your way to your accommodation. After checking into your hotel, go out and begin exploring this wonderful city. Take an open-top bus tour around the many famous landmarks that London has to offer. See all of the famous landmarks including Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. Board a 30-minute flight on the London Eye for incredible views of the city or visit the Crown Jewels at the Tower of London. Tonight, dine at an authentic London Pub before returning to your hotel.

      Day 2 : London

      After breakfast today, continue on with your exploration of London. Take a tour of the iconic Buckingham Palace to see the London residence of the Royal family. Visit the British Museum to see Egyptian mummies and a remarkable collection of human history. Step into St. Paul’s Cathedral and marvel at the amazing interior. While you’re there, be sure to climb the dome of the cathedral in order to enjoy spectacular views across London. Fun Fact: Prince Charles and Princess Diana were married at St. Paul’s Cathedral!

      Day 3 : Stratford

      Today, you will be traveling from London to Stratford-upon-Avon. This is a medieval market town in England’s West Midlands and is the birthplace of William Shakespeare. A delightful river winds its way through the town, past the beautiful Holy Trinity Church, where Shakespeare lies buried. There are some wonderful half-wooden buildings that date back to Shakespeare's time, including Shakespeare’s Birthplace. Some great places to visit include Shakespeare’s Birthplace, Anne Hathaway’s Cottage, Church of the Holy Trinity and Charlecote Park.

      Overnight in Stratford

      Day 4 : Stratford

      Today, you will continue to explore Stratford. There is so much history to learn about William Shakespeare. You can spend the day continuing to explore this by taking in a play by the world-famous Royal Shakespeare Company. You can also visit Hall’s Croft and the River Avon. Hall’s Croft is a building that contains a collection of 16th and 17th century paintings and furniture. It also has a dramatic walled garden and a exhibition about the obscure medical practices of the period.  River Avon is an English river in central England and is a great place to relax during the afternoon. Once you have explored all that Stratford-upon-Avon has to offer, head back to your accommodation.

      Day 5 : Llandudno

      After getting settled into your accommodations explore the beautiful seaside town of Llandudno. The town is known for its North Shore Beach and 19th century pier which has a games arcades and shops. There are many things you can do during your first day including visiting the Great Orme via a tram or cable car, visiting little Orme, exploring Eirias Park or attending the Home Front Experience. These are all great great things to start out your time in Wales. After you have spent the afternoon exploring the area head back to your accommodation for a relaxing night after a long day of travel.

      Overnight in Llandudno

      Day 6 : Llandudno

      Today, you will explore the area surrounding Llandudno. One of the many great places to visit is Conwy which is a World Heritage town. Conwy is one of Britain's best-preserved medieval towns. The well-preserved ancient walls enclose the town full of cobbled streets and historic buildings. Conwy Castle is a World Heritage Site that was a key part of the “iron ring” of fortresses build around Snowdonia. The views from the battlements with the mountains of Snowdonia one way and Conwy Estuary on the other are simply stunning. Other great places to check out include Aberconwy House, Plas Mawr and the Smallest House. A must do while in Conwy is to walk along the walls before venturing into the streets below.  You can complete a history lesson of the area by visiting Conwy’s Tourist Information center to see flagship exhibitions. After exploring Conwy head to your accommodations before enjoying your night in Llandudno.

      Overnight in Llandudno

      Day 7 : Llangollen

      Today, you will be traveling from Llandudno to Llangollen which will take approximately 1 hour. Llangollen is full of great places to eat, shop and explore. The town has many outdoor activities for all ages in the Vale of Llangollen. You can ride the white water, climb high above the valley or cycle along beautiful trails. Visitors have called Llangollen a “walker’s paradise” as there are many paths with stunning scenery! Other popular activities include taking a ride on the steam train, the horse-drawn canal boats or a trip over the famous Pontcysyllte Aqueduct.  You can also explore the vast history at Plas Newydd where you can wander the gardens and enjoy a cup of tea or light meal. After spending the day exploring the town settle into your accommodations for your last night in Wales.

      Overnight in Llangollen

      Day 8 : Return Home

      Today, you will be leaving Wales. In the morning you will head to the airport where you will continue on your trip or head back home.
