Why Self-Drive?

Renting a car and exploring a destination is the most popular type of vacation we craft for our clients. If this is something that you are not sure about for your vacation, allow us to bend your ear a little:

• Flexible itinerary - Most coach tours only hit the main tourist areas and rarely stray off the beaten path. You may wish to visit the corners that people don't often visit or drive down winding roads inaccessible to big motor coaches.

• Come & Go - Most of the destinations we sell can have unpredictable weather. If it is raining today, and the Cliffs of Moher are shrouded in fog your itinerary may allow you to come back tomorrow.

• Photo opportunities - You can stop whenever and wherever you want (within reason!) and chase down a great shot at sunset because you have no where else that you need to be.

• Cost - Self-drive tours generally work out less expensive than guided tours with a great travel schedule and a trusted company to work with.

• Privacy - Hospitality and engaging with other tourists are part of the experience, but when you are on vacation, it is not easy to be always "on". With your own car and arrangements, you can have as much seclusion and solitude as you wish.

• Driving is easy - Once you master being on the "wrong side" of the road, it is just like driving at home. You just need to remember that, like at home, the driver should always be positioned by the dividing line in the middle of the road.
