    This tour is a quick introduction to south and west Iceland. We visit the pearls of south Iceland: golden circle, waterfalls, black sand beaches to then explore the Icelandic cuisine by going on a Food Walk. Conclude the itinerary by going to the thermal spa inspired by nature and culture, known as Sky Lagoon.

    Exploring the Icelandic nature and culture: 5 Day Itinerary

    Day 1: Welcome to Iceland!

    Pick up the rental car at Keflavik International Airport upon arrival and drive east along the south coast making stops at the beautiful Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss waterfalls before arriving at Vik, where you’ll stay the first night. 

    Day 2: Exploring South Shore

    Explore the south coast of Iceland. Some of the highlights along the way: Views of Eyjafjallajökull and Myrdalsjökull glaciers, the Reynisfjara black sand beach, Dyrhólaey; the village of Vik with its black sandy beach stretching as far as the eye can see and impressive views of the Reynisdrangar stacks rising out of the ocean; charming coastal villages of South Iceland.

     
    Overnight in Vik. 

    Day 3: Golden Circle

    Depart Vik and head west towards the Golden Circle, exploring Kerid crater, Strokker geysir, the impressive Gullfoss waterfall, and Thingvellir National Park where you can walk between two tectonic plates before dropping off the car in Reykjavik.

    Overnight in Reykjavik.    

    Day 4: Food tour and Sky Lagoon

    Explore the highlights of Reykjavik with a fun local guide, visit 5-6 local restaurants & hidden gems and enjoy delicious traditional cuisines! The last full day in Iceland you’ll also enjoy the soothing pools of the Sky Lagoon, a thermal spa inspired by nature and culture. 

    The day ends in Reykjavik for the last overnight stay.

    Day 5: Return Home

    Time to head home! Enjoy a private transfer from your hotel directly to the airport so that you have no worries about buses and being late for your flight. If your flight is later in the day, you also have the option of going to the Blue Lagoon on your way to the airport.
