Day 2: Untold Stories & Hidden Gems
Your chauffeur will take you along more of the Great West Way this morning. You have some beautiful scenery ahead of you over the next few days, and all you’ll have to worry about is taking it all in while your chauffeur navigates. You’ll stop in the prestigious city of Oxford. This place of collegiate greats and studious scholars offers much to see and do. We recommend seeing the Bodleian Library – the UK’s second largest library. Established in 1602, this spectacular building contains over 11 million books. You’ll get a great look at the university’s interior with a visit to the Divinity School, as well. Other places not to miss are the quaint shops and cafes found just outside of Oxford University. After that, your chauffeur will continue your drive throughout the English countryside. You’re in for a treat with the next stop – Blenheim Palace. This was the birthplace and home of Winston Churchill and his family. Today, the 12th Duke of Marlborough resides there. You can take a guided tour to see the State Rooms, priceless collections and centuries-old décor. You’ll also find the Churchill Exhibition where you’ll uncover the “Untold Story” of one of England’s most prominent, influential leaders.
