8 Day English Knights & Wizards Itinerary
Day 1: London City Tour
Your vacation starts at your London hotel. Take a panoramic tour with your guide to see the highlights of London including the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, and Trafalgar Square. Take a ride on the London Eye, which offers 360 - degree views of the city and surrounding areas; on a clear day, you can see as far as Heathrow Airport and Windsor Castle. In the evening join your fellow travelers for a welcome drink in your hotel.
Day 2: Tower of London, Harry Potter Walking Tour & Musical
Explore the Tower of London – a medieval fortress that both served as one of history-s most infamous prisons and is the current home of 23,578 gemstones of the Crown Jewels. Join up with a genuine expert on Harry Potter for a walking tour that will have you tracing the footsteps of the young wizard. This afternoon enjoy a musical in the West End. Enjoy free time in the evening to explore independently.
Day 3: Stonehenge, Bath & Cardiff Castle Banquet
Drive to Salisbury Plain to view the huge monoliths of Stonehenge and learn about how they were built over 4,500 years ago. Next head to Bath to visit the Roman Baths, hot mineral - rich springs that have been popular since Roman times. Audioguides bring the history to life, and the costumed Roman characters provide insight into Roman Britain. Travel to Wales to tour Cardiff Castle, built up over centuries, before enjoying a fun Welsh banquet with entertainment.
Day 4: Nant Gwrtheyrn Heritage Centre
Drive through the lovely scenery of the Beacons National Park and continue north through the picturesque countryside of rural Wales. Take a stop in Brecon, and then stop to explore the historic market town of Machynlleth. Stop at the Nant Gwrtheyrn Heritage Centre, for a foray into the distinctive culture of Wales - take a fun language lesson and a guided tour of the village. At the end of the visit, sample a traditional Welsh afternoon tea and cakes with your fellow travelers. Head to the coastal resort town of Llandudno and check in to your hotel.
Day 5: Tram Ride & British Music Experience
Take the Great Orme Tramway, Britain’s only remaining cable-operated street tramway, enjoying the fantastic views of the bay from the Victorian tram cars. Go on to Liverpool, where you’ll visit the British Music Experience, which tells the story of British Music through costumes, instruments, performance and memorabilia from the Beatles to today. Enjoy dinner at your hotel near Chester.
Day 6: Falconry Experience & Stratford-Upon-Avon
The day starts with an extraordinary hands-on private falconry experience at Chester Cathedral - the home of owls, falcons, hawks and a friendly vulture called Tinks. Travel to Stratford-upon-Avon. Stop at the birthplace of William Shakespeare to learn about the Bard before venturing on to enjoy a river cruise.
Day 7: Warner Bros Studio Tour & Windsor Castle
See how the magic was made at Warner Bros Studio’s “The Making of Harry Potter” and see original movie sets and some of the props and costumes. In the afternoon, head to Windsor Castle, the largest inhabited castle in the world, and one of The Queen’s official residences, to see the State Apartments and St George’s Chapel. Have dinner at your hotel.
Day 8: Tour Ends in Windsor
