Join the Lord Mayor of West Roxbury Richie Gormley on a 9 Day/8 night tour of Ireland. Depart Providence on Friday, May 31st and return Sunday, June 9th.

Tour price is only $2,999 per person based on double occupancy and includes airfare, luxury coach with tour/guide, 8 nights’ accommodation with 17 meals, entry to some amazing attractions and experiences exclusive to this tour.

Richie has been running similar tours since 2013 to celebrate the year of The Gathering in Ireland and they have been a huge success.

      Day 1: Fri, May 31 – The Journey Begins

      Our non-stop flight to Cork departs at 9.00pm (approx).

      Day 2: Sat, June 1 – Blarney Castle & Bantry

      We arrive at Cork Airport this morning and meet our coach driver. From here we will board our private motor coach and take a journey through County Cork. Our first stop will be the famous Blarney Casle and stone with a pause for lunch nearby after. We will then continue to our luxury hotel in Bantry.

      Day 3: Sun, June 2 – West Cork & Mizen Head

      Today will be spent exploring West Cork which is the sister city to Scituate, Massachusetts. This beautiful region offers a peek into rustic Ireland.

      Day 4: Mon, June 3 – Dingle & The Ring of Kerry

      Depart Bantry today and travel North to Dingle via The Ring of Kerry. We continue on to our hotel in Dingle and have the evening to relax and freshen up before dinner at the hotel.

      Day 5: Tue, June 4 – Dingle & Famine Cottages

      We’re off to do some exploring today as we tour the stunning Dingle Peninsula. One of the day’s highlights will be a visit to The Famine Cottages. We’ll discover more about their history during a crucial time in Ireland. Later, we’ll have the opportunity to hold baby lambs. The rest of the evening is free to spend at your leisure before dinner.

      Day 6: Wed, June 5 – Galway via Cliffs & Doolin

      We will leave Dingle this morning and start the journey toward Galway City. We’re in for a treat during this leg of the trip as we stop at the Cliffs of Moher. Towering over the Atlantic Ocean, these iconic cliffs offer stunning views that leave many lost for words.

      You will have time to explore the area and see these views for yourself. After visiting the Cliffs of Moher, we will make our way to Doolin for lunch and to stretch our legs. We will arrive at The Park House Hotel in the evening for dinner.

      Day 7: Thur, June 6 – Connemara & Kylemore Abbey

      Today we will venture out of Galway to the Connemara region. There will be a stop at Kylemore Abbey to explore the beautiful gardens and learn about the history of the Abbey. In the early afternoon, we’ll return to Galway with time to explore the city.

      We’re in for a treat later tonight with an early dinner and then a group transfer to Salthill for the Trad on the Prom show. This is “Ireland’s Number 1 Music, Song & Dance Experience”.

      Overnight: Park House Hotel, Galway

      Day 8: Fri, June 7 – Drive to Dublin & Merry Ploughboy

      We’re on our way to the heart of Ireland this morning as we leave Galway and head to our hotel in Athlone. We’ll stop in Westport for lunch and arrive at the Sheraton Athlone in the evening.

      Day 9: Sat, June 8 – Explore Dublin

      This morning begins with a cruise of the River Shannon. Following the cruise, it’s time for “the craic” at the Lord Mayor Richie Gormley’s ancestral home as we enjoy a cookout, sheep shearing demonstration, and open bar at Coffey’s Pub.

      Dinner & Overnight: Sheraton Hotel, Athlone

      Day 10: Sun, June 9 – Return Home

      We will get an early start this morning and head to Dublin for a short city tour. Later on, we’ll arrive at the airport to board our mid-afternoon flight to Providence.
