Robert Mancuso | Ireland | April, 2025

Robert Mancuso’s trip, planned by Josie, was marked by a thoughtful blend of castle stays and intimate boutique accommodations. Highlights included warm welcomes from hosts at Perryville House, Chester Beatty, and Faithlegg, with unforgettable moments even in Ireland’s rain and chill.

How would you rate your trip?

Who was your travel expert?

Josie

How were your accommodations?

Great

What did you love?

Mix of Castles and smaller intimate accommodations that were recommended by Josie, e.g. Fiddle and Bow and Chester Beatty. At the latter, Mary and Daniel were wonderful hosts. We were truly given an Irish hug, a warm and authentic experience. An Chuirt was an absolute gem of a hotel and location. We were blessed with a beautiful approach into Donegal. Rain and cold did not detour us from walking the beach at Sand House. We were very surprised that the restaurant staff remembered us at both Ashford and Dromoland. And of course Andrew and Laura at Perryville House treated us as long lost friends. Faithlegg was a wonderful surprise and again a recommendation by Josie. The one hotel we would have changed was Eccles in Glengariff. This was my pick when planning the trip. We would have stayed at the Park Hotel in Kenmare had we known better. This one was on me. My Bad.

Did everything go smoothly with your transportation?

Yes

What did you love?

Enterprise was spectacular. We rented in Donegal with a drop off in Dublin at Saint Stevens Green. Say the car was perfect, having driven approximately 1000 miles. The check out at Donegal and check in at Saint Stevens Green could not have been easier.

What tours, attractions, or activities did you particularly enjoy?

was a trip to get reacquainted with the island after seven years. This was our fourth trip to Ireland and
we were seeking an authentic Irish experience. This was filled with slow travel, finding back roads, asking the locals where to go. Memorable was Eddie’s beach in Bunbeg. Our trip around the Beara peninsula was beautiful. We had the best steak pie in Donegal. Meals and drinks were high on our agenda. And this trip did not disappoint. Finn’s Farmcut in Kinsale was a real standout for food and hospitality. And of course, the meals at both castles were exceptional.

What was your favorite part of the trip?

Hard to say when you are in Ireland. It’s like asking who’s your favorite kid?

Would you travel with us again?

Yes

How can we improve for next time?

We were well taken care of by Crystal Travel. Thank you.
This trip exceeded our expectations. We could not have experienced such a trip without the expert advice from Josie. Thank you.
