Lake Como is the perfect place to unwind and relax before your journey takes you to Switzerland, where you will discover the diverse Graubünden region and its interplay between pristine wilderness and top notch, modern tourism infrastructure. The last night will be spent in the vibrant city of Zurich where you will discover the historic old town.

After a delicious breakfast you are going to cross the Alps in 1st class style on the highest railway link between Northern and Southern Europe.
The very best leg of the journey begins after Pontresina as the train approaches the top of the Bernina Pass. Without cog wheels the train ascends towards the magnificent alpine scenery; glaciers, snow and heady peaks surround the 7400 ft pass crossing. As you cross down the other side of the pass towards the village of Poschiavo, the fragrances of southern climes begin to mix with the bracing alpine air.
On arrival in Poschiavo, disembark the train where you will have some time to discover an unspoiled, miniature vacation world that reflects the valley’s culture with its traditional, natural foods and handicrafts, its welcoming friendliness, and its unforgettable natural treasures. Enjoy a lunch at one of the charming restaurants before you return the same way back to Celerina by the impressive Bernina Express.

Afterwards your journey by coach will continue to Churwalden where you will have lunch in a restaurant with local specialties.
If you have the courage, after lunch, a really fun experience awaits you: You will take a chairlift to the start of the toboggan ride, which is the longest in Switzerland.
Later in the afternoon arrive in the hotel where you will have dinner.

After breakfast you will have time at leisure for hiking. One of our recommendations is a 30 minute hike to Lake Cauma where you might still be lucky enough to go for a swim, a picnic or just relax and soak in some sun. Water lovers in particular consider the idyllic landscape around Lake Cauma to be a paradise.
Alternatively, try the hike to the Il Spir viewpoint above the Rhine Gorge where you will see an amazing view of the “Grand Canyon of Switzerland”.
If you are seeking more adventure, you could also walk along the world’s largest treetop walk (Baumwipfelpfad) which connects the two villages of Laax Murschetg and Laax Dorf.
Yet another option is to stay at the hotel and enjoy some down time at the hotel Spa – which is known for history, delight and relaxation.
