How were your accommodations? Great. Buswells in Dublin great location, charming interior. Rooms good size. People were nice. The Laurels B&B in Kilkenny was OK, a little small for our group of five. People were very nice Actons Hotel in Kinsale was everyone’s favorite. Incredibly spacious and beautiful Park House in Galway was very good too; great location; again, great service.
Did everything go smoothly with your transportation? Yes. Aer Lingus comfortable and smooth; Great service. Transfer from airport smooth and driver was very nice Kennedy Coaches outstanding. Our driver Kenny O’Flaherty was friendly, informative and knowledgeable. He was always ready for us; waited patiently. He showed us areas we never would have known about. One time sprinted out of the bus to reserve a table for us at a pub ahead of bigger coach bus. We all loved Kenny.
What tours, attractions, or activities did you particularly enjoy? Wicklow Mountains and Powerscourt Tour outstanding; driver was friendly, informative. In Dublin really impressed with Book of Kells, Kilmainham jail and Glasnevin Cemetery. Others that were top-notch were Rock of Cashel, Kilkenny Castle, Hook Peninsula, Dunbrody Famine Ship (Extra good), Waterford Crystal (despite weird intro video), Titanic experience in Cobh. Kinsale was wonderful, we would not have gone except Ann recommending it. She wanted us to spend more time there and I mistakenly insisted on going to Cork City. Really wish we had spent more time there. Cliffs of Moher and the Burren were haunting; a great example of things being better in person than in photos. Kylemore Abbey was magnificent. Cong a little disappointing to a Quiet Man fan (museum was closed). The tour itself was good but the tour guide was just a bad stand-up act (just bad luck for us). I want to thank Ann for getting us tickets to the Abbey Theater (great show) and the Christy Moore concert (unforgettable)
What was your favorite part of the trip?Impossible to pick. All of it.
Would you travel with us again? Yes. We have no complaints. Ann was incredibly patience and responsive to all our requests.
Any other questions or comments? Looking forward to returning with Ann’s help. This time she can insist that I do things her way (kidding!!!)
