      10 Day British Elegance Tour Itinerary

      Day 1 : Arrival & London Highlights

      Welcome to London! After checking into your hotel, take an open-top bus tour around the many famous landmarks that London has to offer. There are a number of different bus routes as well as a walking tour and a cruise on the River Thames. See all of the famous landmarks including Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. Board a 30-minute flight on the London Eye or visit the Crown Jewels at the Tower of London. Tonight you might like to go to a show in the West End or dine at an authentic London Pub.

      Day 2 : Cotswolds & Cardiff

      Leave London today for Cardiff, the capital city of Wales. Drive through the very beautiful and picturesque Cotswold District. Stop in Bibury, which has been described as the ‘prettiest village in the Cotswolds’ and enjoy a wonderful lunch here before continuing on. Upon arrival in Cardiff, check into your accommodation before going to explore the city. Cardiff offers spectacular shopping, museums, and entertainment. Check out the free National Museum Cardiff. Here you’ll find exhibitions and the country’s natural history, archaeology, and geology collections. You can also visit Cardiff Castle located in the heart of the city. This is a great site with a history that spans over 2000 years.

      Day 3 : Cardiff & Journey Through Wales

      If there’s anything else you’d like to see or do in Cardiff, do so this morning before heading north to the royal town of Caernarfon. The town is just west of Snowdonia National Park which you’ll pass through on your journey. This is a wonderful scenic drive so be sure to admire all the natural beauty as you pass through. Once you check into your hotel, explore nearby and get to know the area before enjoying a nice dinner.

      Day 4 : Caernarfon Castle & Snowdon Mountain Railway

      This morning visit the medieval fortress that is Caernarfon Castle. The castle is recognized as a World Heritage Site. As you tour the impressive castle, see what makes it so special as you discover its history.


      Yesterday you drove through Snowdonia National Park, but today you’ll get to experience it in the best way possible. From Caernarfon Castle, make the short drive over to the Snowdon Mountain Railway. This is a unique rail journey you don’t want to miss. You’ll be taken up toward the clouds to the Summit of the highest mountain in Wales and England! The awe-inspiring views and stunning scenery will leave you speechless.

      Day 5 : Liverpool & The Beatles Story

      Make your way to Liverpool this morning. Today is the perfect opportunity to take advantage of all the gems Liverpool has to offer. Home to arguably the world's most iconic musical group, the Beatles, Liverpool is booming with culture and musical roots. A great place to start out your visit here is The Cavern Club where great live acts (such as the Fab Four) have performed since the 1960s. To get an even better look at the group's ties to Liverpool, be sure to explore The Beatles Story. This museum features memorabilia, high tech displays and interactive exhibits. Some other great spots in Liverpool you won't want to miss are Albert Dock and the British Music Experience.

      Day 6 : The Lake District

      Travel through the mountainous region of the glorious Lake District, associated with the children’s author, Beatrix Potter, who wrote and illustrated the popular “Peter Rabbit” series of books. She was also an avid sheep farmer. The poet, William Wordsworth lived and worked in the charming village of Grasmere. Take a stroll through the town and see where he is buried. Continue on to your accommodation for the evening.

      Day 7 : Hadrian's Wall & Hogwarts

      Drive deeper into the Lake District National Park to see the charming hills and valleys that inspired William Wordsworth’s poetry and enjoy lunch in the quaint village of Bowness. Enjoy a scenic cruise on Windermere, the largest lake in the area. England's largest National Park is home to Scafell Pike - its highest mountain, Wastwater - its deepest lake and thriving communities like Keswick and Bowness-on-Windermere so be sure to immerse yourself fully in the charms of the Lake District today. You can also journey north out of the Lake District to Hadrian's Wall. Hadrian's Wall Country has something for everyone - world class archaeology, spectacular landscapes, rare wildlife, complete solitude, vibrant cities, wonderful pubs and a population of friendly and welcoming people. End the day by visiting the magical Alnwick Castle where Harry Potter was filmed.

      Day 8 : Yorkshire & York

      After breakfast this morning, drive south. Check out the Yorkshire Dales, a collection of river valleys and hills among them, rising from the Vale of York westwards to the hilltops of the main Pennine watershed. Take in the beauty before you continue onto York.

      Rich in ancient history, romantic ambience and fun activities, York is the perfect holiday destination for couples, families and groups. Renowned for its exquisite architecture, tangle of quaint cobbled streets, iconic York Minster and wealth of visitor attractions, York is a flourishing city. Delve into the city's vibrant café culture, take time out to enjoy some of the country's most talented street entertainers or simply watch the world go by while sipping a drink by the river.

      Day 9 : London via Cambridge

      You have done a lot of driving so far and today is no exception. Take the route through Cambridge where you can stop for a rest on the journey. Be inspired by the many beautiful museums and art galleries. Admire the beautiful architecture and majestic college buildings. Explore quaint passages set around the historic market place and colleges, where a unique and relaxing shopping experience can be found. Here a blend of independent shops is mingled with high street brands. Relax in one of the many beautiful pubs, restaurants and cafes for lunch before continuing on your journey to London.

      Day 10 : Return Home

      Make your way to Heathrow Airport and board your flight home.
