Day 1 | Arrive in Rovaniemi
After arriving in Rovaniemi, make your way to your hotel in the center of the city. Get out on foot and explore the many gift shops and small cafes located around the city center.
In the evening, prepare yourself for a Northern Light Experience like no other. You will be floating around in an Ice-cold Lake gazing at the stars and the auroras. Sounds crazy!? Day 2 | Artic circle and Lehtojärvi Rovaniemi
Today, you have the full day to explore Santa Clauses Village. Meet Santa & Mrs. Claus while visiting his office & house. You also have the opportunity to meet his reindeer.
Of course, there is much more to do in the village than meeting Santa. Visit Santa’s farm, home to lovely and friendly animals like reindeer, alpacas, llamas, rabbits, sheep and goats.
See one the world biggest SnowHotels in the World – Arctic SnowHotel & Glass Igloos in Lehtojärvi Rovaniemi offers different visiting programmes. The attraction is located 25 minutes from Santa Claus Village at the Arctic Circle.
During the tour you get an opportunity to visit all the rooms of the SnowHotel, Ice Restaurant, Ice Chapel and Ice Bar. If you wish, you can have a drink at the Ice Bar during the tour.
Day 3 | Rovaniemi Adventure
After breakfast this morning, meet your guide who will bring you on an epic Nordic adventure today. Your adventure today involves two activities, Snowmobiling and Ice fishing.
By snowmobile you will reach one of the best and most secret spots to do ice fishing. Your guide will teach you how to drill a hole in the ice and prepare the ice fishing rod and baits. Who will catch the biggest fish?
Return to your accommodation and enjoy your last night in Lapland’s capital City.
Day 4 and 5 | Arrive in Ireland – Galway
Touch down in Ireland and take the train to the West Coast. Your home for the next 2 nights is Galway City. Galway is well known for its lively atmosphere, live street music and cobbled streets.
Why don’t you take a food tour of Galway to really settle into the city? As you explore the streets and waterways of Galway, you’ll discover some interesting facts and fables from your informative tour guide.
It gives a great overview of passionate people and beautiful produce which combine to make Galway one of Ireland’s gourmet jewels. During the tour you will meet artisan producers and sample their products with an experienced guide, giving you insights to our local favorites and treasured ingredients.
Day 6 | Explore the Christmas Markets
The Galway Christmas Market received over 450,000 visitors in 2022 and there were more than 50 wooden chalets located in Eyre Square along with the Big Wheel, Carousel, Santa’s Grotto, the German Bier Keller along with numerous other theatrical delights throughout the four-week fair.
Use today to pick up any gifts that you see throughout the market and make sure to indulge on some delicious Mulled Wine.
There will be plenty of entertainment around the city with live performers, puppet shows and comedians all performing for free!
Food lovers can feast on a bratwurst, French pastries, pretzels or confectionery, crêpes and waffles, while families and friends can enjoy a walk through the enchanted light gardens providing the backdrop for a Christmas Market photo, stop off at Santa’s postbox & much more.
Day 7 | Explore Dublin
After Breakfast this morning, hop back on the train towards Dublin. Sit back and take in the green scenery until you reach the capital city. After checking into your hotel, head to the Guinness Storehouse for a self-guided tour.
Experience the history of Guinness and find out how the drink is made. After the tour, head to the top of the Storehouse and enjoy a Pint of Guinness overlooking Dublin City in the Gravity Bar.
After your self-guided tour, it might be a good idea to explore Dublin’s Christmas markets during your final night in Ireland. The Dublin Castle Christmas Market is worth a visit. You will be able to roam the market in a very cool setting. As you roam around Dublin, you should find several smaller Christmas stalls and Markets jotted around the city rather than one large collection of stalls. Enjoy your last night in Ireland by exploring the markets before settling into a cozy traditional Irish pub for some live music.
Day 8 | Return Home
After an epic few days in Finland & Ireland, it is time to say goodbye and return home. Make your way to Dublin Airport where you will board your flight home.
