Enjoy a free afternoon in Dublin, and dinner on your own.
Day 3: The Irish National Stud and Gardens & The House of Waterford Crystal
Tour the home of equine royalty, the Irish National Stud, to observe immaculately bred stallions alongside protective mares, frolicking foals, and athletic yearlings. Take a walk around the grounds to see St. Fiachra’s Garden and the miniature Japanese Gardens. Travel on to the House of Waterford Crystal to witness the centuries’ old traditional creation of crystal masterpieces.
Day 4: Spike Island & The Jameson Experience, Midleton
Set sail for Spike Island and discover its history as a home to monks, convicts, and rebels. Tour the imposing star-shaped fortress, Fort Mitchel, which served as a defensive fort as well as one of Europe's largest prisons. Savor a picnic lunch on the island before returning to the mainland. Visit the Jameson Experience, Midleton, an Irish whiskey museum and historic distillery to see whiskey making up close and where you might even become a "Qualified Irish Whiskey Taster."
Day 5: Blarney Castle & Jaunting Car Ride
Journey to Blarney Castle and take the opportunity to kiss the "Stone of Eloquence" or tour the castle's extensive and inviting gardens. Later, experience a jaunting car ride through breathtaking Killarney National Park to view the grounds that include Ross Castle built in 1410. Enjoy dinner at Rozzers' Restaurant or Killeen House.
Day 6: Derrynane House & Seaweed Walk
Begin the day with a visit to stately Derrynane House, home of one of Ireland's important national figures, Daniel O'Connell. The house is now an Irish National Monument and part of a 320-acre National Park along the scenic Kerry Coast. Partake in the Atlantic Irish Seaweed Walk to discover some interesting facts and the delicious flavors of seaweed found along a beautiful Kerry beach.
Day 7: Dingle Peninsula & Sheep Herding Demonstration
Visit the Dingle Peninsula for a tour of this rich, historical region and its countless beautiful vistas. Take advantage of some free time to explore on your own. Marvel at the sight of highly-skilled sheepdogs as they perform a sheepherding demonstration. In the afternoon, stop by John B. Keane's Pub for some traditional refreshment with tea and scones. Then, set out on a ferry across the River Shannon for amazing riverside views where you might even see a dolphin or two. You'll spend the night at the luxurious Dromoland Castle, situated on a 450-acre estate and dating back to the 16th century.
Day 8: Cliffs of Moher & St Tola Goat Farm
Journey to the Cliffs of Moher, stunning sea cliffs that run 8 miles along the coast and tower nearly 700 feet above the Atlantic. Then take a tour of St Tola Goat Farm, a working farm set on 65 acres. Enjoy a cheese-making demonstration before sampling some of St Tola's offerings in a wine and cheese pairing.
Day 9: Limerick & Farewell Dinner
Set off for a panoramic tour of the beautiful city of Limerick on the River Shannon to see its compact, medieval old town and Georgian squares. Travel on to Craggaunowen and participate in their Living Past Experience, which recreates Ireland's history from ancient times to life in a medieval castle and on to the 1970s when a leather-hulled boat sailed across the Atlantic as it is believed St. Brendan did before Columbus. Enjoy a luxurious farewell dinner in your hotel, The Trump International Golf Links & Hotel.
Day 10: Tour Ends
Your tour ends after breakfast.
